Get the Pill Where You Take the Pill
In the very first week of the COVID-19 lockdown, Sarah Christopherson and I realized that we could take advantage of the crisis to insist that the FDA drop its medically unnecessary requirement that women needing abortion care pick up abortion pills in person. More than 80 reproductive health, rights and justice organizations joined the Network’s members in this campaign and the FDA relented, setting in motion changes led to the current availability of abortion care via telehealth. The attached documents illustrate the Network’s creative use of social media, a crucial communications tool during the pandemic.
