Cindy’s official bio:

Cynthia A. Pearson (Cindy) led the National Women's Health Network for more than two decades, serving as executive director from 1996 to 2021. One of the nation's leading advocates for women's health, Cindy regularly testified before Congress, the National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration, and appeared in print and on the air as a consumer expert on women’s health issues, including the Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Nightline, Good Morning America, CNN, NPR, and more.

During her tenure, Cindy led campaigns to protect women from risky drugs and devices, require the government to research conditions that affect women, ensure that women have access to full information about medical products and clinical trials, expand women’s access to comprehensive reproductive health care services, and protect women against coercion and abuse. When she retired, Cindy received a Congressional Resolution in honor of her outstanding contributions to the health of women and girls.

Cindy continues to be active in retirement, serving on the board of directors of the Federation of Feminist Women’s Health Centers, MedShadow Foundation and Women’s Health Specialists, a reproductive health clinic in northern California. Cindy is also a consumer member of the FDA’s Ob Gyn Devices Advisory Panel.
